It has been quite a ride so far! I have been hard at work these past few months writing, editing, re-writing, and re-editing to make my first novel in The Book of Astoriya series the best that it can be! And now, the finish line is in sight as I work with the incredibly talented May Al-Husseini to create the beautiful illustrations that will help bring The Book of Astoriya-The Land of the Blooming Forest to life!
Working with May has been such a great experience. The best part, by far, was finally meeting Sofie, the main character in the series. As she finally took shape, and I saw her sitting there in front of me for the first time, I couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement about all the adventures that she was about to embark on.
Of course, I couldn't help but share a little something, so, linked to this post is just a sneak peek of what is to come! It is a tiny little window into the Land of the Blooming Forest.
With each illustration that is completed, I am one step closer to introducing you all to the world of Astoriya, and all of the magical adventures that await you there. This is a journey you won't soon forget!
